v0 credits, without the guesswork

v0 pricing and credits: free, Plus and model usage explained

v0 now prices individual plans in dollars of usage rather than a simple message bundle. The model you choose and the context it reads decide how quickly that balance goes.

Quick answer

v0 Free includes $5 in monthly credits and a seven-message daily limit. Plus costs $30 per user per month, includes $30 in monthly credits and adds $2 of daily login credits per user. Business is $100 per user per month. Model token rates vary widely, so the same dollar allowance lasts longer with v0 Mini than with Max or Max Fast.

The free plan is a product test, not a production budget

Five dollars of monthly credit and seven messages a day are enough to test generation, visual editing, GitHub sync and a Vercel deployment. They are tight for sustained development because both the dollar balance and daily interaction ceiling apply.

Plus replaces that small trial balance with $30 per user and adds daily login credit. It is priced per person, so a three-person team should compare a $90 subscription with the value of shared chats, central billing and the Vercel-native workflow.

Model choice is a cost decision

v0 publishes separate input, cache and output token rates for Mini, Pro, Max and Max Fast. The highest-end fast model can cost many times more per output token than Mini. Use it for work that justifies the difference, not as an unexamined default.

Context matters too. A prompt can be short while the attached project and conversation are large. Start a focused chat for a contained task when carrying the entire history adds no value.

What you get beyond generation

The free product already supports Vercel deployment, Design Mode and GitHub sync. Plus is therefore less about basic ownership and more about capacity, model access and collaboration.

Business adds training opt-out by default at a much higher seat price. Enterprise carries the stronger administrative controls. Choose that tier for governance requirements, not merely because a project has become commercially important.

Estimate with one real feature

Build the same meaningful feature you expect to repeat: a responsive screen, one data path and one correction after GitHub sync. Record the dollar usage. Multiply by the number of similar changes in a normal month and add the seat cost.

If the work starts from a reference URL and ends with one landing page, compare v0's open-ended generation loop with a fixed deliverable. If the work lives in Vercel and will continue through many components, v0's integration is the point.
