About Copycat

We build the first draft you can already see.

Most website builders begin with a prompt or a blank canvas. Copycat begins with a live reference. That makes the brief concrete and keeps the job narrow.

What Copycat does

Give Copycat an accessible website you own or have permission to use. We map the page structure, spacing, typography, responsive behavior and interactions, then rebuild it as an editable Next.js draft of the site.

The stated scope is the whole site: every linked page up to a stated cap, desktop and mobile, with matching interactions and motion, editable Next.js source code and free publishing to a live URL. Copying is free and unlimited, with no account and no catch — pixel-perfect copying is deterministic capture rather than AI generation, so running it costs us almost nothing. Two builds run at a time; at busy moments new builds wait in a short queue and start automatically. AI-powered edit requests are included free while Copycat is in beta. The target first-draft time is under 15 minutes.

What it does not do

Copycat is not a full-stack app agent, an ongoing CMS, an ecommerce operations suite or a substitute for permission. Public availability does not make a site's copy, photography, illustrations or brand yours to reuse.

Why all the comparisons?

People searching for a website builder are often looking at products that share a label but not a workflow. We publish comparisons to make those differences legible. Sometimes Copycat is the right fit. Sometimes the honest answer is Lovable, Replit, Bolt, v0, Framer, Webflow, Wix or Squarespace.

Read the comparison methodology or go straight to the comparison library.
