Editorial methodology

We compare the work, not the slogans.

A fair comparison starts with what goes in, what comes out, what keeps costing money and who has to operate the result.

Primary sources first

Pricing, allowances and product capabilities come from the vendor's own pricing pages and documentation. Every page names the date of the check and links back to those sources. If our summary and a vendor's live page disagree, use the vendor page.

The same decision dimensions

We compare starting input, intended output, code ownership, hosting, application depth, ongoing editing, free access and price shape. We do not collapse subscriptions, usage credits and one-off delivery into one misleading monthly number.

The other product gets to win

Copycat has a narrow advantage: turning a known reference into an editable Next.js landing-page draft. A full-stack agent is better for a data-backed app. A visual CMS is better for a marketing team that wants to edit without code. An all-in-one platform is better when the business needs bookings, commerce and marketing in one place.

No invented proof

We do not invent ratings, customer counts, benchmark scores or hands-on testing. When a page is based on documentation rather than a live test, it says so. When we later run a reproducible workflow test, we will publish the prompt, input, output, date and limitations.

One page per real question

“Lovable free,” “Lovable free plan” and “Lovable free credits” live together because they are one intent. A Lovable alternatives shortlist is separate from a Copycat-vs-Lovable decision because the reader needs a different answer. We do not publish city, industry or spelling variants with swapped headings.

Freshness

Prices and free allowances are checked quarterly, with a faster review when a vendor announces a change. Material changes update the article date. Cosmetic edits do not. Pages that cannot be verified are corrected, consolidated or removed from the index.

Have a correction?

The live vendor page wins. Send the source through the Copycat sign-up form and we will recheck the article.
